1) Lead Drupal Software Developer (1 person)
We are seeking a Lead Drupal engineer to join a highly collaborative, team building the next generation platform for learning English using short video clips from YouTube and digital uploads. The Lead Drupal engineer will play a pivotal role shaping how we architect and administer Drupal at Movie English. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large enterprise Drupal implementations in a LAMP environment and will have worked extensively with modules such as CCK, Panels, and Views. The candidate should also have deep experience developing custom modules for Drupal and is proficient coding with PHP. Additional Drupal experience with module evaluation, theme development, taxonomy development, security, integration, site deployment and maintenance, and performance optimization (including caching) will be looked upon favorably.
RESPONSIBILITIES/Essential Functions:
Leading the development and creation of our website and apps for a multitude of platforms (web and mobile)
Define and implement our overall Drupal technical strategies
Implement systems and procedures to ensure best practices and coding standards (for Drupal, PHP, Javascript etc)
Design for, recommend, and implement scalable, high-performance Drupal solutions while working closely with our team of software engineers and UX designers
Front-end and back-end development, including the creation and maintenance of custom modules and themes when necessary
Research, recommend, and help deploy existing Drupal modules that can be used to fulfill business requirements
Work with other team members to help support the Drupal technology stack and assist with the troubleshooting of low-level issues as they arise. This includes updating various Drupal modules, and applying Drupal patches when needed
Estimate project delivery dates, schedule releases, and maintain the project schedule
Resolve issues and bugs reported by the project manager and quality assurance team
Report to the project manager
QUALIFICATIONS (skills/requirements):
Architecture and Design
3-6 years of hands-on professional development experience with Drupal, particularly Drupal 6.x
Expert knowledge in developing custom Drupal modules
Expert in Drupal architecture and design
